Comment on Feedback, the Law, and Mandated Manipulative Insincerity by Megan https://www.radicalcandor.com/blog/feedback-and-gender-bias-at-work/#comment-2823 Fri, 10 Aug 2018 17:12:14 +0000 https://www.radicalcandor.com/?p=10665#comment-2823 Given how global some companies have become, it is all too easy for someone to make an honest mistake. It is a shame that we have become so sensitive that people don’t feel they can offer a kind, “oops, in case you didn’t know”. I’m the type of person who says, “Stop dancing around it and just spit it out.” I’m sure that would offend someone somewhere.

Comment on Feedback, the Law, and Mandated Manipulative Insincerity by Jennie https://www.radicalcandor.com/blog/feedback-and-gender-bias-at-work/#comment-2822 Thu, 09 Aug 2018 21:30:16 +0000 https://www.radicalcandor.com/?p=10665#comment-2822 Great example. It’s disheartening that we have to assume everyone will fall to pieces if they hear something direct rather than assuming that we can be adult with each other and forgive each other when we say things that are not quite right. Trying for 100% right in this area comes at way too high a cost.

For instance if I were to present chapters one and two, which podcasts do you recommend best reinforce the material in the first tow chapters?

Comment on Keeping it Real: Let’s Keep Radical Candor From Becoming a Buzzword by Xanthe Matychak https://www.radicalcandor.com/blog/keeping-it-real/#comment-2816 Sat, 21 Jul 2018 10:35:46 +0000 https://www.radicalcandor.com/?p=10454#comment-2816 I see radical candor being misunderstood and used quite a bit: Managers think that they can fast forward to giving honest feedback without first developing a trusting and caring relationship with their direct reports. It’s hard to witness.
